Day 2 Arrive London, England – Bristol. Welcome to England, a land steeped in history and stories that span over 5000 years. Here, the past intertwines seamlessly with the present, creating an enchanting tapestry of culture and heritage. Upon arrival at Heathrow Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Bristol. With its picturesque waterfront, stunning architecture, and bustling shopping districts, Bristol offers a delightful blend of old-world charm and modern excitement. Upon arrival, you will have a panoramic city tour seeing historic landmarks like Clifton Suspension Bridge, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, offering breathtaking views of the Avon Gorge and Bristol's skyline, the waterfront and harbor, and the historic downtown. Then onwards, to your hotel, check-in, and relax. After an included dinner tonight, you can return to the waterfront district famous for its lively bars, restaurants, and shops. (D)

 

Day 3 Bristol – Bath. Today you explore the captivating city of Bath, England, on a comprehensive tour that showcases its rich history and iconic landmarks. Begin with a walking tour, immersing yourself in this UNESCO World Heritage site's charming streets and picturesque architecture. Visit the world-famous Roman Baths, an awe-inspiring complex built by the Romans in dedication to the goddess Sulis Minerva. Walk in the footsteps of renowned former residents like Albert Einstein, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien as you discover the top landmarks of this esteemed institution, which dates to 1096, making it the world's second oldest continuously operating university. In the heart of the city, you enter Cardiff Castle, a truly remarkable site with a history spanning over 2000 years. Day 6 Bristol – Tewkesbury – Cotswolds. After breakfast today, you will enjoy a spectacular scenic tour of Gloucestershire's heart, known for the Cotswolds and limestone hills that set the stage for the area's gorgeous towns and villages. On your excursion, discover Tewkesbury with its half-timbered Tudor houses, the Tewkesbury Abbey – featuring England's most prominent Norman tower, and Mythe Bridge that crosses the Severn. Drive along and see some of the idyllic villages and the Cotswold's hills that rise to more than 300 meters and culminate at the Cotswolds Edge in the west. Along the way, you will enter the Wedgewood pottery factory for an interactive visit. Wedgwood is a renowned pottery brand with a rich heritage dating back to the 18th century. Here you can witness the skilled craftsmanship and intricate techniques that have made Wedgwood pottery world-famous. Explore the production process, from shaping the clay to the delicate art of hand-painting and glazing. (B)

 

Day 7 Bristol. Today breakfast is served at your hotel before you embark on an unforgettable day in Bristol. Explore the city's vibrant art galleries and charming shops, immersing yourself in its creative atmosphere. Alternatively, take an optional tour of Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. This remarkable opportunity grants you access to Stonehenge, a mesmerizing prehistoric monument considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Marvel at the enigmatic standing stones, surrounded by ancient burial mounds, believed to have been constructed thousands of years ago. Next, discover the awe-inspiring Salisbury Cathedral, home to England's tallest spire and the world's oldest mechanical clock. Day 8 Bristol – Wells – Cheddar Gorge. Today you head out on an included excursion to Wells and Cheddar Gorge. Your adventure starts in Wells, located in the county of Somerset. It's a charming and historic city that captivates visitors with its stunning architecture and rich heritage. Best known for its magnificent Wells Cathedral and picturesque city center filled with quaint streets, charming shops, and inviting cafes. Then explore the fascinating Cheddar Caves, Gorge, and the Museum of Prehistory. Venture into the depths of the ancient caves, marveling at their impressive rock formations and learning about the area's rich geological and archaeological history. Immerse yourself in the captivating exhibits at the Museum of Prehistory, where you can discover the story of early human settlements and their connection to the caves. Then onwards to Cheddar, where natural wonders and culinary delights await. Indulge your taste buds with a visit to the renowned Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company. Step inside the visitor center and witness the art of cheese-making firsthand. Observe the working dairy and see the various stages of the Cheddar cheese-making process, from milk to curds and finally to the matured cheese. Today, it's time to bid farewell to the captivating city of Bristol and embark on your journey back home as you transfer to Heathrow Airport, for your return flight or continue your adventure with an optional extension in London. Day 9 Bristol to London. After breakfast, you will be transferred to central London, where a captivating adventure awaits. As you make your way to your hotel, indulge in a panoramic tour of the iconic West End of London, feasting your eyes on landmarks such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and Trafalgar Square. Once you've checked into your hotel for a fascinating two-night stay, take some time to unwind and rejuvenate. In the evening, why not immerse yourself in the quintessential London experience by visiting a traditional pub? These cherished establishments are woven into the city's cultural fabric, serving as vital social meeting places. Enjoy the warm ambiance as you savor delicious food and drinks, engage in lively conversations, and perhaps even partake in traditional pub games like cards, darts, or billiards. Day 10 London - City Tour and River Thames Cruise. Start your day with an English breakfast before embarking on an unforgettable city tour of London. See iconic landmarks like the majestic St Paul's Cathedral, the historic Bank of England, the renowned Monument, and the legendary Tower of London. But the adventure doesn't end there. Prepare to witness the city's breathtaking beauty from a unique perspective as you embark on a scenic cruise along the Thames River, passing by Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Tower Bridge, and Thames House.
